Question

Michele (20 august 2016)
I want to use your chalk additive in the production of HDPE and LDPE bags, what percent of input do you recommend?

Answer

For the production of HDPE and LDPE bags you would better use the Cretaceous additive Polymel ME-80.We recommend a percentage of input 10%. The use of different mineral admixtures in the production of polymer products is not new. There are the technical conditions that reglamentary use chalk supplements up to 30%.At the modern level of technology development, you can add more than 40%. At the request of the producers of mineral kompanentov, some businesses are able to enter up to 65% additives. The percentage increase in input leads to an increase in the weight of the product, its stiffness, the decrease of AV material, the coefficient on the elongation (stretching), the change in the tactile properties of products.

One of the most important factors that affect the percentage of input of Cretaceous supplements is its quality, which is not only in the percentage content of calcium carbonate and polymer, but also in terms of mineral filler. Chalk should be finely divided and hydrophobic (repelling moisture), then he better communicates with a source of polymeric raw materials without disturbing the structure. The most destructive for the technology is the use of low-quality chalk quarry in which many different impurities, they affect the properties of the finished product.

In today's business environment it is difficult to survive without cheaper supplements, but the choice to use or not to use is up to you.
